These are works I have been creating since my return to Beijing from Sydney in 2002.

I've always been interested in the tolic of "underpants", because they are something that you can only use but cannot take out to appreciate, much less hang up on the wall. That is because they are "improper". But what is "proper" and what is "improper"? My experience has often been the opposite.

The two hundred bronze little people, entitled "They", which I made in 2005, and my 2010 installation work "Rest in Peace", which is made from plastic waste, are both being exhibition in a gallery for the first time.
